The legendary rap group Beastie Boys and Champion has just announced an amazing new collaboration in honor of the 30th anniversary of the release of their third studio album, Check Your Head.
The 20-track album, which was produced by Beastie Boys and Mario Caldato Jr. at the group’s G-Son studios in Los Angeles, was hailed by critics as a turning point for the three.
The record, most importantly, launched them into the spotlight where they quickly attained multi-platinum status for their distinctive sound. The 17-piece collection is headlined by several legendary Champion staples, including the Reverse Weave Sweatshirts, and is centered around the group’s trademark symbol.
A selection of T-shirts made in shades of black, white, and grey are among the other offerings, all of which are adorned with various pieces of iconography from the album.
Champion’s Chris Haggarty, the company’s marketing director for EMEA, expressed his excitement about the possibility of bringing this capsule to reality.
Since the early 1990s, Champion has played a crucial role in both music and adolescent subculture, and this Beastie Boys compilation is the ideal way to honor one of that era’s most recognizable records.
