Drake’s show at Harlem’s Apollo Theater has been postponed, the OVO team has revealed, only one week before what would have been a historic appearance.

Drake’s Apollo Theater show has been postponed to January, according to Complex. Since the original date in November, OVO and SiriusXM have rescheduled the concert twice. On December 8 and 9, the next concert will no longer be held. Instead, on January 21 and 22, 2023, he will grace the stage.

The most recent delay resulted from “production delays” beyond their control. They said that “several challenging discussions and conversations” surrounded the choice. To give their fans an amazing experience, they decided it would be better to take their time.

“These future SiriusXM shows are so extraordinarily special for us. According to a statement from Drake, SiriusXM, and Sound 42, there must be a world-class production if you’re going to perform at the renowned Apollo Theater. “As a team, we’ve been working around the clock to put together a show that gives our fans the experience they deserve. Having said that, there are occasional production delays that are simply beyond our control.

The Apollo has been extraordinarily generous throughout this process, and we are looking forward to presenting a spectacular event to this legendary stage, the statement says.

In November, Drake revealed that the Apollo Theater performance would take place just once. The funeral for Takeoff fell on the same day, though. Later, they added a second date and pushed the event back by a month.

Although Drake will be performing in New York City in January, many fans are still hoping for the announcement of a tour. Since September 2021, Drake has released a trio of albums, the last of which, Her Loss, featuring 21 Savage, was released in November. Later, Drizzy disclosed that he would tour alongside Savage in promotion of the album.
